The British government announced on Sunday a program called "Homes for Ukraine". On the one hand, this program is to encourage Ukrainians who have no family ties in the UK to decide to come. On the other hand, it is about encouraging the inhabitants of Great Britain to accept Ukrainians. How? Through financial incentives.

People who offer refugees a free room or real estate for a period of at least six months will receive 350 pounds (i.e. less than PLN 2,000) per month.

Applications by the end of next week

Residents, charities or companies interested in participating in the program should offer accommodation to refugees via the website by the end of next week. Anyone offering a room or property to refugees will need to demonstrate that the accommodation meets the appropriate standards.

- Britain supports Ukraine in its darkest hour, and British public opinion understands the need to ensure the safety of as many people as possible as soon as possible - emphasized in the statement Michael Gove, Minister for Equal Opportunities, Housing and Local Communities. - I call on the people of the whole country to join the national effort and offer support to our Ukrainian friends. Together, we can provide a safe home for those who need it so much , he added.

Refugees who have had no relatives in the UK for several days can apply for a visa. The Minister for Equal Opportunities, Housing and Local Communities said in an interview with Sky News that more than 3,000 visas have already been granted. Michael Gove predicts that "tens of thousands" of Ukrainians will come to Great Britain.
