Automat paczkowy został opracowany i zbudowany przez chińską firmę Cainiao, która również jest częścią Alibaby. To zdecydowanie nie jest firma krzak – funkcjonuje już od 2013 r, a trzy lata temu wyceniono ją na ponad 20 mld dol. To jedna z większych firm logistycznych w Chinach.
