Two most important(in my eyes both very charismatic) leaders from ex-Yugoslavia met in Zagreb to make things better(improve situation) for people...its a big step forward from my perspective(a bit late, but better than never). What we need are real leaders willing to take step forward for the sake of the people and not corruption and these two might have just proven to be the right material. After-fall, If you won't give it a try, you will never have chance to find out what otherwise outcome could be(its more than just risk at stake here, its our future/existence we are talking about)...
As long as you have will, you can't go wrong with anything in this world - not in marriage and not in state matters as seen here...there is a long road ahead, but each day from here on will turn out to be more and more positive for two nations(hopefully all Yugoslav nations)...
I would add that what you see here wasn't easy step to make for either of the two leaders as the two most brotherly nations on earth got in many confrontations in the past(the only real difference between the two is cultural difference, other than that its like North and South Koreans we are talking about here).
Croats were centuries under Hungarian occupation(AustroHungarian slavery) and Serbs under Turkish....Croats are for most part Roman Catholics(like Slovenes) while Serbs are just as Russians part of great Slavic Orthodox brotherhood.
My personal treasure....Orthodox cross is from beautiful Belarus where I embraced Orthodox. I feel to be closer to orthodox because Roman Catholicism was only used as a tool of manipulation and oppression by Western powers(its a form of Western control)...in Slovenia and Croatia for example(was and is same in all other Slavic states where Roman Catholicism is) , we were enslaved for centuries by foreign powers which have used us for all the wrong purposes(mainly for wars against one another) while in Russia, Orthodox Christianity managed to protect(preserve) in great sense a real Russian identity from foreign spiritual(religious) and other control...Orthodox Christianity and communism are two founding branches of real Slavic identities.
Wish my best to both of this individuals...
REGARDING THE VIDEO WHICH SUGGESTS PARTIAL PAIN FROM THE PAST(THERE WAS MUCH THAT WENT ON ALSO AGAINST SERBS DURING WWII ON WHICH OCCASION CROATIA WAS LEFT WITHOUT ENTIRE DALMATIA WHEN COLLABORATING WITH GERMAN NEONAZIS AND ITALIAN FASCISTS AND SO ON THAT WASN'T MENTIONED HERE) ONLY....BOTH NATIONS(AND CROATS AND SERBS AND BOSNIAKS AND ALL WE FROM EX YUGOSLAVIA INCL. MYSELF FROM SLOVENIA) UNDERSTAND VERY WELL JUST HOW MEANINGLESS OUR EXISTENCE IS TO HAGUE/BRUSSELS WHOSE AGENDA IS NOT DIFFERENT FROM WWII NEONAZI GERMANY !!! HAGUE/BRUSSELS(IN REALITY BERLIN) HAVE PROVEN TO US TIME AND AGAIN HOW THEIR REAL CONCERN IS OUR EXISTENCE(NEONAZI FASCIST APPETITES FOR OUR LANDS ARE BACK) !!! THEREFORE, I PREFER RETURN OF YUGOSLAVIA THAT WOULD WORK ALONG WITH RUSSIA AND NOT SO CALLED EUROPEAN UNION(TOTALLY ANTI EUROPEAN UNION ENSLAVED ECONOMICALLY BY GERMANY WHICH WAS AGAIN SUPPORTED BY USA FOR THIS VERY SAME REASON) !!!
From euronews.com:
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has arrived in Zagreb for a two-day visit aimed at mending ties with his country's former adversary.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has arrived in Croatia for a two-day visit aimed at mending ties between the former rivals.
Relations between the two neighbours have been strained since 1991, when Zagreb broke away from then-Yugoslavia, setting off years of conflict.
"Unfortunately, the relations between Serbia and Croatia are burdened by the past. We did not speak today about this past. Unfortunately, that past is still preventing us from being able to describe the relations between our two countries as friendly," Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic said at a joint press event. "But, it is our obligation, as presidents who are both directly elected by the will of our peoples, to meet and talk, try and find common ground, solve issues that are dividing us".
Hundreds of war veterans and nationalists turn out in Zagreb to protest the meeting and demand reparations from Belgrade, which backed a minority Serb rebellion against Croatian independence.
The leaders are expected to discuss ongoing border disputes, minority rights, missing persons from the war, and cooperation in war crimes prosecutions. The European Union says Serbia needs good neighbourly relations if it wants to join the block of which Croatia is already a member.
A visit scheduled for last year was derailed after Belgrade erected a statue to a soldier considered by Croatia as a war criminal.
Monday's meeting is the first official meeting of Serbian and Croatian leaders since 2013.
More than 10,000 people were killed during the four year conflict which ended in 1995.
