Even 5 meters deep makes the huge difference and you have see picture from large scale to avoid bothering yourself afterwards with issues which grow from small ponds into a total nightmare - electricity bills/crazy cleaning issues and/or even ponds loosing on water level or quality due to issues which easily could have been avoided on first place if investing just a little extra in a project.
