I would instead offer two unconditional and unlimited military support coordinated with US military. Treat either of the two as if integral part of US or EU and have military respond their requests at any time of the day. Arm them, and assist them without any hesitation per their decisions/needs. These two countries in my opinion are one of the most precious Western allies not only in Asian part of the world, but world as whole. Their mentality 100% corresponds or exceeds those of Western standards.
Japanese and Korean people must feel entire Western alliance stands behind them and more than standing behind them its necessary to arm them - give them the ability for immediate response rather than sail to Japan area and back. Give them permanent posts and a number of nukes they need. Arm them to teeth basically. China and even Russia continue to play dirty tricks on two, so its time to make them understand that Japan and Korea alone are in immediate capacity to blow the two away. There was concerns about sensitive data that could fell into wrong hands due to proximity of China and North Korea, but there is no excuse for not taking South Korea and Japan into NATO alliance immediately.
Wait is not okay. They requested and they should be accepted immediately without further ask. Two are NATO in every sense of the word.
POSTPONING NATO MEMBERSHIP FOR TWO COUNTRIES IS IN MY OPINION A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY. A TREASON. JAPANESE AND KOREAN PEOPLE MUST FEEL IN THEIR COUNTRIES AT HOME AND NOT SUBJECTED TO A RUSSO CHINESE TERRORISM. RELAXED AND CONCENTRATED ON THEIR DAILY LIVES - PROSPERITY. THATS A JOB OF NATO.
