Forenzičari su identifikovali tela 162 osobe koje su ubijeni tokom sukoba u Bosni i Hercegovini od 1992 -1995. i bačeni u jezero Perućac, izjavila je Lejla Čengić, portparolka Institut za nestala lica Bosne i Hercegovine.

Među žrtvama koje su ubijene bačene u Perućac ima 40 žena i desetoro dece, od koji je najmlađi bio dečak od 3,5 godine. Sve žrtve, osim dve, bili su muslimani, rekla je Čengićeva.

Ostaci žrtava pronađeni su 2010. u jezeru Perućac, gde je na hiljade muslimana ubijeno u prvim danima međuetničkog sukoba u BiH.

 Francuska agencija AFP navodi da su 15 godina posle završetka sukoba u BiH lokalne vlasti bile u mogućnosti da, po prvi put, dobro pretraže jezero zbog nižeg nivoa vode uzrokovan radovima na hidroelektrani Bajina Bašta.
